Ciputra Business Group, which was established by Dr. Hc. Ir. Ciputra and his family in 1981, is now one of the leading diversified property developers in Indonesia. Ciputra Business Group specializes in large scale integrated development projects combining housing, commercial and recreational centers, and mixed-use developments including hotel, shopping mall and office complexes. New city or city-scaled housing projects and commercial building projects are the Group’s main priority. The group went public in 1994, and is now the holding company of PT Ciputra development Tbk, PT Ciputra Surya Tbk, and PT Ciputra Property Tbk.
Ciputra Business Group pioneered large scale developments in Indonesia. From the outset, founder Dr. Hc. Ir. Ciputra demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit that has led to the company’s success. The Group’s first project was CitraGarden City Jakarta (1981). Today CitraGarden City has expanded and transformed from a rural housing complex to a modern sustainable living space, with total planned area of about 400 hectares. This project offers comprehensive commercial, recreational, and public facilities, including a Family Club, sports facilities, meeting halls, a water treatment plant, and traditional and modern marketplaces, and schools, and health facilities. The Group was the first developer to anticipate the new Jakarta airport and build Ciputra Mall and Hotel near the airport.
Over the past three decades, Ciputra Business Group has successfully developed more than 20 housing projects in 18 cities in Indonesia. The Group still has many projects in preparation and negotiation. The Group makes its name known and keeps leading position in the industry by choosing strategic locations for the development of self-contained urban communities which combine residential areas with shopping centers and commercial and industrial zones, and complete with transportation and communication infrastructures, and public services and facilities to support the necessary for people living, working, schooling, exercising and relaxing.

Ciputra Hanoi International City is Group’s first venture in overseas. It is the first large scale urban development in Hanoi, and is located only minutes away from Noibai Airport and Hanoi CBD. This new world-class satellite city comprises: Low and High- rise Housing; a Diplomatic Precinct; a Foreign Investment Centre; a Hotel; a Hospital; Commercial Centres; Serviced Apartments; Medical Centres;; and Schools. The project received the Foreign Investment Award from the Vietnamese Government in 2005.
Grand Phnom Penh International City is the first and biggest township development in Phnom Penh, the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia. This first integrated city development in Cambodia offers Residential Low-rises and High-rises, Commercial complex, Educational, Hospital and an International Standard 18 Hole Golf Course designed by Nicklaus Design , USA.
Starting in the early 1990’s, from its core business of housing development, Ciputra Business Group has diversified into Hotel, Retail, Third-party Management and Leasing Services for Office and Industrial, Property brokers, Sport and Recreation, Media, Telecommunication, Hospital, and Education businesses.

Following on the success of business expansions, Ciputra Business Group separates its business operations into three sub-groups as follows: Sub-group1 is led by Mr. Budiarsa Sastrawinata and Mrs. Rina Ciputra Sastrawinata. This subgroup takes charges of CitraGarden project, Housing project in Palembang; Property brokers, Media/Tabloid business and Township projects in Vietnam, Cambodia and China.
Sub-group 2 is led by Mr. Harun Hajadi and Mrs. Junita Ciputra. This subgroup manages township and housing projects in Jakarta and Surabaya, Semarang, Sidoarjo, Pandanan, Bali, Lampung, Pekanbaru, Medan, and Manado.
Sub-group 3 is led by Mr. Cakra Ciputra and Mr. Candra Ciputra. This subgroup is in charge of Ciptakom; Ciputra World Jakarta; Mixed-use Commercial projects in Jakarta and Semarang; and Housing projects in Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, Samarinda, Makassar, Pekalongan, Jambi, and Bandung. The group also seeks new projects in Asian countries.
