Ciputra Business Group is committed to continually offering high quality properties with a low environmental impact. As a multinational property company, the Group seeks to create value for our shareholders and while concerns for the environment at through reducing environment-impacting activities and waste, and investing in energy-efficient technology. The Group has integrated environmental considerations into all aspects of our business, and worked with the local Government and relevant environmental organizations to improve our environmental performance. Key focus areas include Energy Efficacy and Renewable Energy Management, Waste management, the selection of building methods and materials, and innovative technologies. We not only endeavor to be a protector of the earth, but also influence our partners, designers, contractors, suppliers and customers in doing so. Our employees must have a good understanding of the potential environmental impact of relevant operations carried out and how they can be minimized.

It is the policy of the Group to meet or exceed all relevant environmental legislation, regulation, government guidance, and codes of practice to limit environmental damage. To achieve this goal, the Group has taken the following steps to promote a sustainable environment:

• Reduce unnecessary uses of energy, water and other natural resources
• Implement energy efficiency and renewable energy measures
• Purchase modern, safe and environmentally friendly products
• Improve building safety and enhance the natural environment
• Protect occupants health and improve employees productivity
• Reduce transportation pollution and traffic congestion, and minimize fuel usage through walkable township projects
• Reduce emissions of noise, dust, waste, and fumes on construction sites
• All new constructions are under green-building principles.

The Group will continually study new knowledge, invest in new technologies, and comply with new public policies to avoid any activities and incidents which are damaging to the environment. We strive to make a real environmental impact at all of our locations.

• Easy ways to cut energy costs
• Turn off the lights and air conditioners when you are the last one leave the room
• Use power-efficient light sources, such as low-energy lamps, avoid traditional bulbs
• Do not leave all power-intensive equipments (TV, Photocopier, PC, etc.) in standby mode overnight
• Make sure all equipments' power-saving function is activated
• Contact the operating personnel/repairers in the event of leaking taps or running toilets
• Contact repairers if fridge/freezer doors do not seal properly
• Defrost the freezer
• Purchase eco-labelled goods
• Request information on energy and water consumption and take this into consideration, when purchasing equipment
• Reduce the use of disposable goods
• Sort waste at source
